On July 31, Market Union held the “Building a First-Class Labor Union & Committee Re-Election Meeting” via video conference connecting Ningbo, Yiwu, and Guangzhou. President Tom Tang, Vice President Sam Zhu, Labor Union Chairman Jessie Lai, Rotating General Manager Nancy Lv, as well as labor union committee members and employee representatives attended.

The meeting reviewed past achievements and planned the goal and specific measures of “building a first-class union”.

Eva Guo, member of the labor union and deputy director of the office, said: The labor union is not only a welfare giver, but also a cultural bond. Through system optimization, the participation threshold is lowered (such as recruitment promotion), and the experience is improved by digitizing. Zoro Zeng, the member of the Cultural and Sports Committee of the labor union, said: The construction of clubs is not a closed internal activity, but a carrier of corporate culture communication. At the cultural level, club competitions and parent-child days were held regularly to break down the barriers of departments. Through the ”MU role model” and skill competitions, the sense of belonging and combat effectiveness were improved.

At the management level, the establishment of the staff representative assembly, through the “proposal-negotiation-implementation” closed loop, promote participation in the city-level model worker selection, improve the corporate image, and create the “family” trusted by employees.

David Wu, the new executive vice president of the union, said,” Club activities are an important part of the union’s work. Tom Tang emphasized that the labor union should focus on service. The work content and responsibilities should be more clear. The labor union work should be understood as a part of administrative services to avoid overlap and conflict.The key to how the union could serve everyone well was to give them more help and encouragement to stimulate their subjective initiative.We must attach importance to the strength of the youth. The work of the club must be carried out around the needs and interests of the young people. The participation rate determines the success or failure of the union work.

The labor union should not only properly handle all kinds of contradictions and establish a contradiction coordination committee, but also do a good job of condolences and help.
